Dabo and A&M/Bama

Aug 26, 2017, 8:36 AM

He aint going. If he was going to do that, then one would say its a given that when Nick gives it up at Bama. Dabo is going to move in. He knows wherever he coaches, he will build it into a national power. Why in the heck would he want to build a monster in A&M that he would have to play every year at Bama?

Plus...

He and Nick are friends. I dont see Dabo being the kind of guy that wants to take over what his friend built. Nick will always have a one up on him for being the one that put Bama where they are. If he were to fail, then he has his buddy in his ear saying, "dang I layed the blueprint out for you, I couldnt have made it any easier Dabo" I see Dabo as more the guy that wants to say "Nick, I built the program that made you retire"

Any team that would hire him would pay that bill. Pocket change for A&M. I agree, though, he's not going anywhere. The only place that might be able to pull him over would be his alma mater, but I doubt he would follow Saban.

true. I'd be disappointed if he goes but its his career. I do think he knows how Bama is so he wont be bamboozled

You are right DABO will not leave but the reason is, he is HOME. He has made Clemson
home. He moved everybody(family) to CU. The reason I say he will never leave
is the emotion he showed after the Bama game. True love for CU and everything it
stands for. CU is Dabo and Dabo is Clemson now. Spurrier cited the best 4 best programs
in the country and Dabo and CU is 1 of the 4. Dabo is home and Bama can sux it.

Not yet but give it a few more years. If we had won in 2015 and won one more in the next 2 years it would probably be enough to make him consider it. Nick is on top right now and can leave as the greatest CFB coach of all time but that wavers a little if he gets beat by the same guy a few times before leaving.

Saban is 65 years old with 5 national championships. He is in the discussion for being the greatest college football coach ever. His 2017 class may have been his best yet. He is preseason #1. Last season he lost the natty in the last play of the game(with a true freshman qb) and it was his 5th worst season in the past 8 years. No one is going to "make" Nick retire except maybe Miss Terry.

Bear Bryant was a A&M before moving on to Bama...

Seems like the natural progression for Dabo. Let's hope I'm wrong about this.

I for one am glad you are stopping. You are one of the most ignorant posters ever. You obviously think very highly of your own opinion, unlike the rest of us - RockHillTiger

In this scenario, Clemson = Kentucky.

Aug 26, 2017, 9:44 AM

I doubt that answered your question.
