Pretty "working class"...I think one "4 star" (I realize that's not the end-all-be-all...I just haven't watched Syracuse play).
Interesting that two of your three starting LBs were listed on the recruiting sites as different positions (Marlowe Wax was listed as a RB and Derek McDonald was a TE). Kevon Darton was a walk-on whose only other interest was a PWO offer from UMass, and he's starting on your DLine. That's impressive for him.
Defense looks young too. Also good news for Cuse, although not necessarily on Saturday.
Should be a good one. I think we know the pre-game narrative. Syracuse gets up for Clemson and is a dangerous team. Syracuse has played a very weak schedule and has played pretty-much all in Syracuse. Another opportunity to see who these two teams are.

They have played 1 away game and against very bad teams but I’m sure they are the best on the league lol .

…but Syracuse is undefeated and plays us like it’s the super bowl every year. If anyone thinks that their moderate amount of sh*t-talking won’t be backed up on Saturday, they’re poorly mistaken.
Cuse is playing for relevancy, for their coach and to beat a top-ranked team.
My only hope is that our team has the same fire and that the coaches don’t start pulling that conservative play-calling BS that they’ll later deny was happening.

I have no problem with what he said, they should think they can win. How would you guys feel if DJ got interviewed today and he said well Syracuse has a great team and I feel pretty good we will get our tails kicked.

I'm sure if you or I looked hard enough we could find where DJ or one of our other players was asked a similar question.
I'm guessing the response from the Clemson player was worded something like, "Syracuse has a good team and a really strong defense/offense. I'm looking forward to getting to play them Saturday. It should be a good game. It's a big game in the division."
What you would not hear the Clemson player say is "Syracuse is coming in undefeated but they are going to be leaving with 1 loss because we have something for them."
We will see if the bravado works for the Syracuse players, but you certainly have not heard those type of comments from the Clemson players in interviews.
I find that when people say things like that publicly it's because they are trying to convince themselves of what they are saying.

What did he say that was out of line? They plan to end our home win streak and he thinks Cuse has a top 5 defense. Nothing to see here.

You want everyone to worship at the alter of Clemson. LOL. Our players have confidence. We are peer programs in the last 5 years against each other. That's what makes it so much fun. You beat up everyone except us. You should relish the fact that we play you close. ITs good practice for yall.

As a fan/alumni I find this kind of pre-game smack talk always beneficial to Clemson.
When your program has decided advantages in coaching pedigree, talent, depth, facilities, fan support, $$$, success, etc.... your players often need all the help they can get being properly motivated.
