Roscoe Crosby.. who I played against. Roscoe was a different animal though. He felt like he weighed 275 when he hit you. He was a good WR but i think he could have been a pro bowler at FS. That's just one man's opinion though

With TZ, Crosby and Currie all coming in 2001 on paper it looked like a stud WR class .
Unfortunately only Currie panned out, I believe Crosby made it to campus but he didn’t play a down.
Did he ?

He played in 2001...

You always knew where he was when you saw his silver Escalade with the big rims parked on campus. He had a pretty strong finish to the year but hurt his elbow and had to sit out 2002 and that was basically the end of his career.

I also seem to remember him having to miss part of the 2001 season because he supposedly broke his nose in a post-game celebration after a win...anyone remember this?

Crosby played ...had a TD catch in Humanitarian Bowl

May 13, 2019, 5:44 AM [ in reply to Re: I was with this guy at the shrine bowl. He was faster than ]

Had freshman record for receiving yards.

He lost three of his close friends in a car accident and it seemed to really set him back psychologically.

Also had Tommy John surgery on his elbow.

He did have the freshman receiving record, but I think the record was like 400 yds. I think he had a really good Humanitarian Bowl

Yeah, Crosby played & played well, for a season, had over 100 yards in the bowl win.

Crosby was a tremendous talent that really could have been special in both football or baseball. He probably should have focused on one sport but that is only my opinion.

He really got messed up when he was playing minor league ball down in Florida for the Royals. Several of his friends were driving down to see him when they were in a terrible car crash. Do not think it ended well for those guys and Crosby took it hard. He just was not the same.

Read an article on his some time back that said he had been working with youth in Union, SC and doing well which was good to hear.
