Watched Miami's spring game...

Apr 16, 2022, 2:04 PM

They will be better under Cristobal. They look bigger and more physical. Crisper than normal Miami teams.

More focused. According to basically everyone they're talking to they say there is more buy in. Mario is a serious dude, and they definitely look more dialed-in. Unlike that clown show Diaz was running there.

Miami has good players and Van Dyke is the real deal. I'm gonna circle the Miami game in November as I think it will be a huge game. Maybe even a championship game preview. I know that sounds like a stretch based on a spring game and comments of the Miami family, but they really do look like a different team.

By the way, as I've seen Frank Ladson targeted 3x. One was off the mark, and two others were catchable. Both were drops. Wasn't that a big issue of his when he was healthy?

Anyway, mark it down ;) Miami has players and is going to much improved.

It's funny how they interviewed and had all the old players back to the Spring game to rekindle the old "The U is Back" feeling. I think the last three coaches tried the same thing at their debut spring game. Looked very familiar. lol.

Not surprised by your observation

Cristobal will bring big-time recruits and football back to Miami which will be good for the crappy ACC.

They didn't even have 50% of the stands full. I'm not sure what you were watching. One side was maybe over half full, the others were empty.

Cristobal is a huge upgrade from Manny...

and will take them to another level for 2-3 years. Then his act will get old because as fans get frustrated with his poor on-the-field decisions as coach. Then the players will tire of him, except the linemen.

Cristobal had completely lost the team in Oregon by the end of last season. After the Ohio State win, they never played with the same passion and purpose again. I believe the same thing will begin to happen at Miami in 2-3-4 years.

He might look serious but if can’t do it in Oregon, he surely will not do it in Miami.

They looked like they still have the same crappy defense. Van Dyke is pretty good, but the rest of the team is average, at best. Cristobal is so overrated. He wasn't even really good at Oregon when inheriting a top pick at QB and some great linemen. I don't get the hype with this guy.
