Cornell Powell was playing exception while the game was still in question.

Oct 18, 2020, 2:12 PM

I know I know. The game was a blowout from the opening kickoff blah blah blah. But honestly it was a sputtering start. And Powell came to play and delivered to stretch the lead. Incredibly proud, as a fan, to see him struggle throughout his career and then have that sort of game with the mentality that he had. I think we all knew it was in there. Glad to see it and hope it is sustained.

Agreed, Certainly better than Frank Drops-en. Though Frank did finally haul one in.

Powell has looked all season

Come CFP, we will need as many mismatches as possible in the red zone.

If Ladson/Ngata are only going to be occasionally brilliant, we will need Cornell to become a reliable red zone target.

I'm pretty sure he can handle it.

I thought Powell played a great game. Hope that Trevor

keeps getting the ball to him. Amari was great as usual. The third receiver seems a position that nobody wants to take. Ladsen needs hand work. Ngata needs to get healthy. Williams looked good Saturday. I didn't get a good look but I think they had Powell as boundary receiver a little yesterday (where Ladsen/Powell usually are) with Williams in Powell's normal position on the other side. Seemed to work. I will have to look at the replay to satisfy my curiosity!

Trevor needs receivers he can trust. To have success down the stretch, we're going to need all of WRU to contribute IMO. The more receivers that get involved on a weekly basis, the better off we'll be. By the way, here is yesterday's receiving yards breakdown.

Sometimes the road to the truth is so elusive it's confusing and reality becomes illusion.

I think Trevor's interception was on Powell.

Powell was jamed at the line and TL should have never thrown it. Powell shouldn't get jamed at the line I guess but not sure that it was his fault. Maybe 50 50 both lol.

I’ve been pretty critical of Powell....

Yesterday, He looked like the player we expected he would be. To the point that I forgot who his favorite basketball team is. We need that effort and leadership from him every game. Very impressed by his performance.

I’ll say this, 73-7 is crazy in the Dabo era, but the great thing about this game, there was plenty for coaching staff to get worked out Monday. Always great to have teaching moments after a big win like that. Complacency kills momentum.

Let’s to praise through validation on the field and plenty of opportunities for growth. Eg franks confidence. Dude makes some incredible catches and then drops the routine pass. He is going to be a super star when he gets that worked out between his ears.

Yes, very good game. I’m most excited for Rodgers

Oct 18, 2020, 9:14 PM

that kid has worked his tail off. He never complains about his touches and just goes out and plays. He is getting his accolades now as he is easily our best receiver and has sneaky quickness and speed. He will be missed, Ngata and Ladson need to get healthy and bring their abilities to the field that we all know they have ??

Amari has speed, power and a great stiffarm.
I think he's awesome in the open field.

When he runs away from guys, I even wonder if he is as fast as Etienne.

Last year it seemed like Trevor was delivering the ball to Amari in the same 8-9' high zone where Tee and Ross could make plays, but Amari would just look up and watch the missile pass overhead.

This year they're working together. Numerous receivers--Powell, Allen, Chalk and Amari-- are catching the high balls, but Trevor isn't slinging missiles up there. He's making a softer throw, and Rodgers particularly has looked good making those high hand catches look easy.
