Everyone wants to be heard.
Everyone wants to be right.
Everyone don't want to admit wrong.
After all this time....it is now the year 2020 and common respect....something every person in this country would want is becoming harder to attain. Common respect should not have to be earned if you seriously didn't do anything to have it taken away.

People over several years have seemed to be drunk and abusive with power and freedoms that threaten the survival and peace of our respective communities. Let's face it laws are going to have to be revised. Things are going to have to get back to common sense.

It doesn't matter if you support the right...the left...or other outside parties that don't get all the publicity. If things dont get corrected in this country to support peace ..happiness..and prosperity that our creator had intended for us........its all going burn. If the crazy people that are overseas continue to cause chaos its all going to burn. The world ?? ...this beautiful world is in danger of being burned by the people who live in it.........thats the head scratcher.

Based on what we already deal with on a daily basis .....we have enough going on that we have to deal with these past few months just to survive and stay healthy. Too many lives have been lost already this year.
I pray we can take care of each other and take care of this world......so we can continue to enjoy and discover the blessings that are enriched in where we live in our communities.

I agree, and the cop in this case deserves to go to jail, and he's been charged. I hear they're also looking into potential charges for the other 3 cops that were there. So what more can be done about this current case?

I don't like to consider myself on the left or the right, and rather I prefer to decide my opinion on things on a case by case situation. However, many on here would probably accuse me of leaning left on a lot of things. For instance, I don't think Colin Kaepernick is the devil the way many made him out to be.

However, there's no way I can get behind supporting and understanding how a cop in Minnesota killing a person should result in business owners from all around the country having their businesses damaged, looted, and even destroyed in some instances. I don't see how that results in police cars being destroyed all around the country, which is doing nothing but taking away from taxpaying dollars which impacts Americans of all races.

I'm afraid that actions like this do nothing but spread more racism. People who were already racist will use these events as their "see you guys, I told you" moments. Many people who were on the fence on how they felt will be pushed towards more racist feelings, and many people who weren't racist at all will be angered by these events, and at the very least be filled with fear. Think about children who see these things on the news, and could potentially be taught at an early age to be fearful. Perhaps those children being raised by racist parents will be taught that their parents are right with their "see, I told you" moments.

I hope I'm wrong about all of that, but it's only natural unfortunately. I realize it works both ways. An idiot cop like this one kills an innocent man(at least innocent in not deserving anything close to what happened to him) and it only spreads the fear that people have of police. However, these types of things also put the police on edge and potentially lead to more tragic situations.

I realize the violent "protesters" represent only a small percentage of the overall crowds, just like the idiot cops like this one only represent a small percentage of cops. I wish we'd see more people speak up against actions like this on both sides. I would like to see more cops speak up against the actions like the one that lead to all of this, and I wish more peaceful protesters would speak out against the violent ones.

I also wish a better job was done by the media and elsewhere of showing statistics. I realize that every life matters, so I'm not trying to act like unjustified deaths by cops isn't a big deal. I'm also not acting like many blacks aren't treated differently when pulled over or in other police interactions. I do think though that there's this huge thing that makes it out like there's a huge statistical chance that someone will be shot if they deal with the police. Just think of the thousands of interactions people have with the police on a daily basis through traffic stops alone. I think more stats that would deal not only with how many people are shot each year, but with how many police interactions actually lead to shootings would be beneficial.
