Coots losing Bruce = us losing Bryant when he declares after

the bowl game.

Byrant needs another year. He will probably go, though.

Jan 3, 2014, 2:58 PM

Like Sammy, I just don't think he wants to go through a year of a new QB if a third round or higher pick is possible.

Bruce Ellington was much more a factor of their success

than Bryant has been for us.

Them losing Ellington is bigger than us losing Bryant. We have tons of talent at WR alreaddy here and coming very soon.

we'll still miss him... but apparently his ME in team is a little large...
I can understand if he's in need of money to support his chilluns. but still think it'd be a mistake in the long run.

he should develop more, imo

Bruce Ellington is by far a bigger loss to the chickens...

Jan 3, 2014, 3:18 PM

Bryant is not close to producing for us like BE did for SC. BE is as big a loss as losing Shaw. The guy was a player. Bryant has the potential to be a playmaker like Bruce, but he needs to be more consistent.

Agreed.

:)

Is this a joke?

Jan 3, 2014, 3:19 PM

Bruce was 1/3 of their offense, with Shaw and Davis.
He leaves a big void. Bryant is/was just a piece to the puzzle.

I don't think he was a 1/3, Shaw and Davis were much more important. He was our top WR though in a fairly balanced receiving corps, but more importantly he was the go to guy in big situations and he came through a lot for us.

I was surprised to see that Bryant had better stats though.

okay, fine. 3/10.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Really? Your last two wins Davis had like 15 yards on 20

Jan 3, 2014, 4:13 PM [ in reply to Re: Is this a joke? ]

carries............ He tore up Kentucky, Vandy, and the like but didn't do much against the good Defenses..........

We've got way more talent behind Bryant than they have behind Ellington. I'm glad to see Shaw go for sure

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

But we will CP

Back and ready to shine

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Tell 'em coot

Jan 3, 2014, 3:57 PM

smh

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Did anybody bother checking stats before declaring Ellington's superiority?

Jan 3, 2014, 4:01 PM

Because, if you had, you'd see that Bryant had more receiving yards than Ellington despite having played in one less game.
