At the highest it was around 125. It was the hottest I have ever felt in my entire life; Totally worth it.

Wow. I can't imagine. I hear it gets hot in a kitchen but I never go in there so I wouldn't know. That's her job. ;)
Have a safe trip buddy.

LOL....Was visiting friends last night, and the wife asks,

Jun 24, 2014, 5:04 AM

"Have you eaten yet?"

When I answered in the negative, she responded, "Well, you better go on out to a restaurant...I don't cook anymore."

Her husband added, "When did you ever?"

She wasn't amused......................

That must have been a tough group of injuns to voluntarily choose to live in that place.

don't know your timeline but the Joshua Tree National Park

Jun 24, 2014, 11:55 AM

is another well worth the trip spot, especially in the early evening at sunset, etc....right near Yucca Valley and 29 Palms Marine Corps Base....a very surreal place with millions of those trees out there by themselves.

Awesome place, I was there two years ago and brought home

Jun 25, 2014, 11:10 AM

a few rocks. Also, may I recommend staying at The Amargosa Opera House and Hotel at Death Valley Junction if you are looking for a cheap place to stay.

just don't watch this first if you do...

Good place to eat in Beatty, NV called Happy Burro Chili and Beer. Ryolite (ghost town) is a pretty neat spot between Death Valley and Beatty.

ENJOY and GO TIGERS!

Nice! I too brought home a "Rock" from there.

Jun 25, 2014, 11:15 AM

It's of course mounted in my man cave. And if you aren't going to bring good beer to my man cave, well then you can keep your filthy hands off it!
