Trump tried to overturn an election he knew he had lost.

Jun 14, 2022, 10:29 AM

That's what yesterday's Jan 6th hearings exposed. Trump lashed out at Bill Barr because he understands how damning his testimony and that of the others in Trump's inner circle was to him. Trump knew/knows the election was not stolen. He was told repeatedly that it was ########.

The idea that Trump and his minions actually believed the election was stolen and simply pursued their legal options was and is a lie. Trump knew/knows Biden was a legitimately elected president and still orchestrated a plan to remain in power. Trump declared a victory he knew he had not won. He knew it on Jan 6th when he tried to obstruct an official proceeding - the Congressional certification of the election.

Trump's scheme was premeditated, deliberate corruption. The committee is doing a good job of connecting the dots and informing the public of the facts.

Remember when Gore/Lieberman were called SORE LOSERMAN because they dared to file one lawsuit in one state where Bush won by only a few hundred votes?

Now comes Trump with 60 lawsuits, who never concedes even after he loses lawsuit after lawsuit, lies to his adoring moron followers (who still believe him!) and holds a rally on the day of the certification to "protest" at the Capitol based on his lies. Sorest loser in the history of sore losers.

Forgot to add: There was no way a court could have reversed the count, given the thousands of votes ahead Biden was in each state. There were no Florida-in-2000 situations.

Which means the whole thing was an act, a lie, and a great money maker. Emails went out after the election to "stop the steal," which was nothing more than the latest Trump University-style scam to part the fools from their money. And they loved him as he stole from them.

This has been his MO really since his days with the USFL, lol.

He constantly tries to find the third party authority to hold up as a "see, even this guy says it was rigged, it must be true!" And people believe it.

He realizes he has no credibility and manipulates more credible people to give him what he lacks. It is his way of legitimizing propaganda. A few examples:

Trump to Comey: I want you to publicly announce that I’m not under investigation

Trump to Zelensky: I want you to make an announcement that you are investigating the Biden’s

Trump to DOJ: Just say the election was rigged and leave the rest to me

Notice a pattern?

Funny that the same people that cry about Trump are the same ones that have no problem with the Dems/FBI/CIA/DOJ falsifying evidence to investigate an opposition candidate.

100% correct! You think all of us would be stupid enough to believe that if Trump was still in office with the current economic/ inflation situation, you wouldn’t be able to go a single day without a dumb dem placing blame on him? Heyll, they did it with Covid and the whole Russia /Hellary fiasco!

Inflation under Trump- minimum
401K Under Trump- good
Stocks/ investments under Trump-Good
Gas under Trump-$1.40 - $1.90/ gallon
Food shortage under Trump- no issues
Crypto currency market under Trump- Prosperous

Inflation under Biden- Record High through Decades
401K investments- under Biden-Tank
Stock Market under Biden- what market?
Gas under Biden- All Time record high ( inflation or not)
Food shortages under Biden- bad and about to get worse according to farmers
Crypto currency under Biden- Plummeted by over half value.

The problem is that he has no clue or plan on how to get back on track. He is a leach that has latched on to the career of being a lying scum and made off pretty well using the ole buddy buddy system. Everyone is tired of his blank stares at the camera, stumbling of words, babbling incoherently in national AND Global spotlight, and it isn’t even struck year 2!

I don't think the fact that his advisors were telling him otherwise proves that he knew it wasn't stolen. It just proves that he's as hard-headed as any other Trumpeteer (who truly believe the memes they see on Facebook).

2024 white level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Exactly. Barr's testimony indicates as much.

Jun 14, 2022, 1:23 PM

He said that he told Trump that stuff about the voting machines being rigged was BS, but apparently Trump didn't accept Barr's advice, as he said Trump was detached from reality, which indicates Trump still truly believed the election was stolen.

Jun 14, 2022, 2:03 PM

"Boy, if he really believes this stuff...he has become detached from reality." He never said that Trump actually believed it.

In listening to his testimony, his point was that there was no way in Hades that Trump really believed this BS after everyone on his legal team and staff, as well as the DOJ, had investigated these accusations and found them to be completely unbelievable.

It was one of many witnesses that basically suggested a man trying desperately to find someone, anyone no matter how discredited by quackery or substance abuse, who was willing to give credence to his BS no matter how much those around him told him how ridiculous it was.

Re: For once you're spot on, because that's exactly what Trump

Jun 14, 2022, 4:30 PM

Here's the thing though...does it matter if he knew and lied, or was just so gonk in the head he's not responsible for somehow being unable to accept the truth that he lost?

Especially when out of the other side of his mouth Trump then says: "...but I'm still going to run for president in 2024."

Is that not the very definition of being "unfit for office"?

That's really what these hearings are ultimately about, no? I mean, I'd personally love to see him in an orange jumpsuit, but far more important to me is that he never gets within a mile of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue again.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Bingo! Exactly what I've said the whole time.

Jun 14, 2022, 7:29 PM

The purpose of these hearings is to destroy Trump. That's it. Just so happens it's being carried out almost entirely by a crew that hated his guts and wanted to destroy him long before Jan 6, and that's what is wrong with this. It's a partisan hit job. These hearings aren't going to convince any hard core Trumpers of anything, and almost everybody else knows Trump lost and was "detached from reality" when he refused to accept the results. Still the people shoud have the right to vote for that guy again if he's broken no laws.

He told him it was BS: Among those who warned the then-president not to declare victory was former Attorney General Bill Barr, who in videotaped testimony said that he had repeatedly told Mr Trump there was no basis to claims of rigged voting machines or ballot "dumps" - which Mr Barr referred to as "crazy stuff".

Trump refused to accept it: Mr Trump, however, refused to acknowledge these concerns and continued to spread fraud claims, Mr Barr said. He testified that he was "demoralised" by his boss' claims.

Barr concluded that because he truly believed that nonsense, he'd become detached from reality: "I thought, 'Boy if he really believes this stuff, he has lost contact with - he's become detached from reality, if he really believes this stuff,'" he said.

You hate Trump, and that is your right, but that hatred is clouding your ability to think objectively. I gave you direct quotes from Barr, who said that he believed "Trump was detached from reality if he believed that stuff". Media outlets ran with the headline "Trump detached from reality". I didn't make that up. If, as has been alleged, Trump was detached from reality, then it's very likely that he believed he won.
