Weird not contact injury, he hit the ball into the shift, I wasn’t paying attention really when it happened, then they said broken foot, I’m a lefty like he usually bats so I thought he fouled the ball off that big bone that sticks out of the inside of the foot/ankle area, I know that hurts like a SOB.

usually cartilage or ligament, it can be a bone fracture in the same region

It was the left foot too, that’s the back foot for a lefty hitter. Maybe it was already damaged.
