Conference Alignments

Do you all think that today’s ruling will causes conferences to realign? I bet the SEC would swap the chickens for Clemson in a skinny minute. Would Clemson have more money available playing in the SEC?

There would be a stalemate for any school currently in the SEC. No school would leave that conference willingly. There a contracts between the school and conferences that would prevent any such moves.

After 68 years, charter member Clemson belongs in the ACC. Wouldn’t mind a conference contraction where the ACC loses Cuse, BC and Pitt though. But would be just as odd playing Mizzou, Vandy and UK if we were in that other conference.

It would be odd playing Kentucky each year.

But I GUARANTEE you they would never hang a Four-peat on us like they did some other state school...

Can you elaborate on how the ruling impacts conf alignment in the slightest way? Did you read the ruling other than the headline? Do you understand the ruling only dealt with educational related benefits?

The SEC would not dump USCe for Clemson if they could and Clemson wouldn't leave the ACC for the SEC.

The SCOTUS decision has no effect at all on conference realignment.

The coming playoff expansion format is what might affect realignment. It's completely dead in the water now but was extremely unlikely anyway.
