NFL it doesn’t matter if you lose a few games. Should be the same in college IMO

wont ever be that way when we use bias to pick a champion***

allowed to have a bad day because it happens. However, I like the intensity of each game in college because it does matter.

The polls are pretty simplistic. They look first to see who still has 0’s in the L column and then head to head. They don’t seem to give much consideration to players being out and other criteria. The CFP committee seems to do more of that and that’s why rankings sometimes change a good bit.

not true.. They look 1st at a certain group of teams

.. then look at conference.. then W-L's

Cinnati/BYU still are not in the top 4.

OSU, BAma were in the top 4 w/o playing any games.

HEck.. OSU would likely finish #4 in the Polls if the BIG never played a game this season..

Yeah sorry I was talking about P5 teams that were already in the mix. Bama, tOSU, and ND will be there almost every year along with UGA. UGA is fortunately taking themselves out of it.

"College football is annoying with a loss being such a big deal"

This is a dumb zoomer take.

1. Losses mean way less now than they used to before the advent of playoffs, conference championship games, and a guaranteed #1 vs. #2 bowl game.

2. There's no other way to separate the top four teams from the other hundred plus teams unless you want to go to some bizarre basketball-style tournament that would make the regular season meaningless for all the bluebloods.

If you don't like college football, don't watch college football.

Sorry but I disagree. The threat of a loss ruining your season is what makes CFB so captivating for me. It’s like we have a 12 game playoff before postseason even begins.
