I can't put my finger on it . I mean , I love the stuff ...but is it just that it gives me the wakes , or that it smells like a kiss from Marilyn Monroe ?

that demands that hot cup of joe, as my New York army buddies used to call it, and I'm not talking about Starbucks.
Rather, I make it strong enough to throw up against a wall, then bounce into my oversized mug and ready for my daily excursion onto a porch overlooking the lake. Two or so mugs of that witch's brew, and I'm ready to tackle most anything.
Problem is when company comes to call, no one...and I mean no one will drink it for fear of hardening of the arteries, thus requiring a separate pot for those sissy drinkers. lol

if a spoon won't stand straight up in the middle of the cup, its probably not strong enough!
Had a good friend in NM who used to make "cowboy coffee" by putting two spoonfuls of ground coffee for each cup to be made into a pot of boiling water for about 5 minutes.....you could strip paint off the wall with that stuff...but itd dang sure wake you up

Juice,milk,water really miss out. I drink it all day long. ..Anyway, Ole Spud is at Atlanta international to pick up my daughter returning from Ecuador. Mrs. SPUD TOLD ME TO BE HERE YESTERDAY AT 530 AM! Which I was!

I know exactly what happens if I don't drink it, I'm grumpy, and worst of all at about 2:00 in the afternoon I get a pounding headache if I skip my coffee. The last 6 years I can think of about 5 different times that I didn't drink coffee in the morning, and all 5 times I got a headache that afternoon.

I generally put black w/a little hazelnut creamer into my 16 oz , insulated BubbaMug @ 5:15 every day ...then drink /repeat/drink .
I figure if I value anything more than my morning java , it will show itself eventually .

I can't stand the smell of it actually, so much so that I avoid walking past the coffee section in the grocery store. Just a terrible odor of something burnt to me.
