He should gauge interest from a variety of candidates, including the O’Sullivans of the world, and go from there.

My list in order of want is:
Matt Lecroy
Kevin O'Sullivan
Link Jarrett
After that I think it's a toss-up. I'm really hoping that Lecroy is ready to come home and build something special in Tiger Town!!

Matt Lecroy would be the Dabo of college baseball if they can manage to get him. He’ll kill in recruiting. Just not sure if he’s in line for a MLB job and holding out for that

I'm thinking the same thing. Lecroy seems to be kind of stuck in the Nationals minor system. He was up in Washington for like 3 seasons as a bullpen coach. But was fired when that manager was fired. He was retained for minors. A quick search shows that the AAA team only pays its manager like 250k a season. I think he is in play for the Tigers.

Not a fan of recruiting some other teams coach, although if an established coach elsewhere desires to look into us because of our availability and timing I am all for it! He must make the initial contact!

During Neff’s initial presser, his comments about exactly what he would be targeting in Clemson’s next HC almost blatantly described O’Sullivan (except without flat-out saying his name). Immediately led me to believe that he would be Neff’s “white whale” of sorts.
Of course, there’s no telling how much truth there is to that excerpt when you consider who the source is.

Wasn't the word last time that O'Sullivan was not interested due to the way Jack was treated? Not sure any of that had changed. As of a few weeks ago no effort has made by the administration to make ammends with Jack.
