Coaches were asked which peers were dirtiest:

Aug 3, 2019, 7:32 PM

Pretty interesting. I wonder if DJU was recruited in a not-so-wholesome way by Cristobal.

Wow, anonymous or not I-m surprised that many would respond to that.
Very interesting!

I don't think I would have. The only way I would is if, somehow someone was placed in some kind of jeopardy, and it wouldn't be in a magazine poll.

Unless I see a link to an article, I'm not buying this. Not the results but that coaches would actually participate.

Only coaches like Dave Doeren

I've been wrong two times, but this isn't one of them.

Well, he’s not really much of a coach, so ...

It says dirtiest program, that may have nothing to do with recruiting or it could include negative recruiting. The way Bama came after Deshaun in 2015 and 2016 I believe it was very dirty when your head hunting the way they did but Deshaun played his best ball when challenged and I believe Trevor is always better after that first shot or cheap shot just the way Deshaun was.

Fair point. Didn’t think of it that specifically.

Re: Coaches were asked which peers were dirtiest:

Aug 4, 2019, 9:25 AM [ in reply to Re: Coaches were asked which peers were dirtiest: ]

In my opinion when players are coached to be be excessively violent (in an already violent game), the coaches are stained as not just dirty, but filthy. So was the case with Bama trying to kill Deshaun in those two games, but likewise with NC State practically decapitating Wayne Gallman. I'd go so far as to say the officiating is dirty too when "unnecessary roughness" is not routinely called when those types of things go on. Everybody plays to win, but winning should not entail deliberate attempts to mutilate opponents.

SEC dominates another poll.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Actually, Oregon dominated it. Surprising that nearly half

Aug 3, 2019, 8:36 PM

would name one coach!

He spent 4 years at Bama before going to Oregon.

A coach with only a few years coaching experience also. Not sure who was interviewed, but I can’t believe that 47% of those interviewed would have even had the chance to compete against Crisobal!

Beat the dirtiest coaches in the game on the football field. Would have been nice to get Oregon too!

Where's UGA and Auburn? Those 2 teams have to be close to the TOP.

Malzahn might be a disappointment as a football coach, but he has done wonders for Auburn's reputation.

From disabling chop blocks to paying players, Auburn had earned their reputation as dirty across numerous administrations. It has pretty much stopped under Malzahn.

googling this returns no results of said poll.

Aug 3, 2019, 10:10 PM

What source s this, cause I highly doubt coaches would respond to this type of thing. And from all accounts, Saban runs a clean program.

Glad I'm not the only skeptic around here. When you see a surprising graphic on the interwebs, you need to check it out before just assuming it's true. I couldn't find a source either.
