Blood on Biden's Hands

Mar 3, 2021, 8:54 AM

With the change in immigration policy, it is not surprising that we are and will be seeing more illegal immigrants entering our country. Yesterday in California, a Ford Expedition with 27 individuals--correct-27-collided with a large truck hauling gravel, killing 13 of these individuals.

Does it make any sense to let the world know that the U.S. is essentially wide open to illegal border crossings and not expect a flood of immigrants? I could be wrong, but I doubt there was any significant social distancing in the Expedition.Yet native Californians are still under significant COVID restrictions. Are Mexicans immune to COVID?

If Biden is going to throw open the gates to our border, he should at least provide nice air conditioned buses to bring the folks in, shouldn't he?

This is going to blow up in Biden's face as it should. He has recklessly changed immigration policy while not preparing for the onslaught of illegal immigrants.

I feel sorry for the individuals who lost their lives and were injured. I truly do, but there will be more carnage. We will also see an uptick in violence as Biden's 100 day moratorium on all deportations will allow known criminals to end up staying.

I will have to say, as my wife once had 3 seat Expedition, that I am seriously impressed with the loading of the vehicle. 27 humans in an Expedition is evidence of significant ingenuity!

C'mon ron, if you read the article about it on CNN - you

will see that they don't mention that it was illegal immigrants at all. As a matter of fact, the article speculates that people cross the border daily going to work - and that's what these people were doing.

I have to admit I briefly scanned the news and my bias kicked in, if what you say is correct. I remain astonished that if these were indeed all workers crossing the border, that 27 individuals old enough to work could have possibly fit into an Expedition and why the Border Patrol would have permitted 27 individuals crammed into such a vehicle to enter the U.S..

It is still a tragedy regardless and my suspicions are still that some of these folks were entering illegally.

illegals - I just thought it was funny (and telling) that CNN couldn't bring themselves to say it.

A California highway crash involving human smugglers and 25 illegal immigrants jammed into a single SUV left over a dozen dead Tuesday, a Border Patrol source tells Fox News..

Two vehicles crammed with illegal immigrants inside had driven through the ten-foot wide hole in the early morning hours of Monday's midnight shift, sources say, somehow evading a mobile camera system set up nearby. The sources added that the border patrol was not looking for the smugglers until they were notified by the Imperial County Sheriffs Office about the crash, which occurred about 8 miles north of where the fence was cut.

sorry bud, when it comes to politicians killing people, the combined effort of GOP governors to block Medicaid expansion money that had been earmarked and approved by Congress to strengthen healthcare for the poor takes the grand prize. It is one of the more embarrassing things your party has taken part in, and the list is long. Sorry, I am not going to take a single thing seriously from Republicans acting like they care about human life when they intentionally withheld taxpayer money for healthcare for the poor. There is nothing lower than that, it can't be beaten, it was coordinated and intentional, with the full awareness that it would harm Americans.. Mitch McConnell is going to Hell, assuming there is one.

Individual state legislatures and/or governors made the decision to opt out of Medicaid expansion as they were fearful that their state would ultimately be left holding the bag with essentially an unfunded mandate. The states unlike our federal government have to balance their budgets. 2020 leaves the states responsible for 10% of the cost of the expansion. What will the future bring? Surely the states won't pay less for the expansion going forward. I'm ambivalent on the issue. I will say as one who provided care for all, including Medicaid patients, that I found many patients who were eligible for Medicaid hadn't even bothered to sign up. I will also say that Medicaid reimbursement is absolutely abysmal. I took a loss to accept Medicaid. While ER care is not efficient at all, I dispute your contention that poor people are dying due to a lack of access to Medicaid. I don't know of any physician or hospital who has withheld care due to a patient not having any money to pay for their care.

The answer regarding health care is very, very complex. I do agree with P.J. O'Rourke who said,"If you think health care is expensive now, wait until you see what it costs when it's free."
