Clemson Towers Property on 123?

I've lived in the Clemson area my whole life, and remember when they built the big condominium complex on the left as you pass over the lake coming into Clemson. Was back in 2004 or 2005, somewhere in that time frame.

Does anyone know anybody who has ever lived there? I drive by it all the time, and don't think I have ever seen anyone going into or coming out of the parking lot. There are only a few "listings" for a condo there online, and they are all pretty generic / kind of similar to each other. No website, no information on the LLC that owns it based on the property records (has also changed names a couple of times), and when you pass it during the night there's hardly ever any lights on.

Just seems odd, especially considering the recent increase in property values and construction in the area. I was discussing this with some friends the other night and we were all puzzled, maybe they are all owned for the sole purpose of football weekends and vacant the rest of the year?

I would think that is the case, but then again even on game weekends there's no noticeable traffic in and out of that place.

My neighbor has a 2 bedroom condo there. I’ve been in it a few times and it’s very nice and seems well built - I think steel and concrete unlike the multistory wooden structures you see much of. She said the vast majority of residents only use for football and other visits to Clemson but there are a couple of full time residents. Since they’re all multiple bedrooms there may not be that many units.

My dad helped develop and market them. I used to own one and my dad still does. They are mostly used on football weekends by their owners but there are some that live there full time or rent out full time. They don't rent to students which is a plus for the residents. Jack Leggett used to own one.

Thank you all for your responses, I think that answers that! Probably less units there than I think there are and used mostly for football weekends. I had always been curious...
