Clemson-South Carolina game thread (game one)

We are live at Founders Park in Columbia for game one of the Clemson-South Carolina series. We'll be in Columbia's Segra Park tomorrow (4 p.m.) and back in Clemson on Sunday (3 p.m.). Clemson's lineup:

Clemson goes down in order in the first with a K and two groundouts. Gamecocks right-hander Will Sanders (2-0) is on the mound and he earned two wins in relief last year in the series.

After two Gamecocks are walked to lead off the inning and a wild pitch moves the runners over, Andrew Eyster's sac fly to RF gives South Carolina the 1-0 lead.

Anglin gets out of the jam with a grounder. He threw 21 pitches in the first frame. That run allowed was his first given up of the season over 11 innings.

Clemson's first two batters reach in the second, but Sanders gets three strikeouts, including a couple on the outside edge of strike zone looking to get out of it.

No way that was a strike on fairey. That ball bounced across the plate. I don’t complain about the umps but this is terrible.

Fairly smooth second inning for Anglin. Hit 94 on the gun on one swing and miss. Through two innings, Gamecocks lead 1-0.

Ingle ties things up at 1 with a line-drive up the middle and puts runners on the corners with two out.

Clemson loads them up with two out, but Sanders tallies his sixth strikeout -- swinging this time -- to get out of it. Through 2 1/2, we're tied at 1.

Anglin works out of a two-out bases-loaded jam where two runners reached by getting brushed by a pitch with a grounder to first base. 1-1 through 3 at Founders Park.

Grice goes the opposite way for a standup double and Ingle is intentionally walked with two out. Sanders tallies his 10th strikeout to get out of the jam versus Hawkins and we're still tied at 1.
