Swinney says there is no drama, has people that want to be here, and time will tell how good this class is. However, he thinks this group will prove to be a special group because it's built in the trenches

He says that every single class since he's been here has won one or multiple ACC Championships and he has no doubt this group will keep it going

16 mid-year guys and that is the most they have had, ever. One year had 13 or 14. Eight of the mid-years are on offense and 8 are on defense

He says this is a close group and seven states plus DC are represented. Add this to an incredibly talented team coming back and it will be a fun spring with a lot of competition.

Vizzina is a big-time talent, big, strong, can make all the throws. Paul Tyson is a guy they recruited in HS, prolific passer who spent time at Bama and at ASU. With Wiles and DJ leaving they have a gap and they needed a veteran guy.They needed someone else to come in and give them more experience in the room.

He is excited about the receivers - two guys with size and then two who are intermediate size. That includes Tink Kelley, who will start at WR but cross-train at DB

He says Ronan Hanafin is a big strong athletic WR who can play anywhere. Big-bodied guy. Great competitor. Noble Johnson is athletic and gifted and can do a lot of things, will remind you of Beaux Collins. Great ball skills

Swinney says WR Tyler Brown has gotten better and better as this year has gone on, great kid, his dream is to play at Clemson. Swinney says there is nothing Tink (Misun Kelley) can't do. Like Nuk, he can do anything.

Loves the two TEs that they have recruited. Super excited about Olson and Dixon, two kids with high-level potential to go along with Josh Sapp, who has a great future.

Saw a YT review by one of the common guys like Slaughter, Kickoff, LateKick, one of them and they were raving about Henry. Saying they felt he was severely underrated and will be one of the best TE to come through Clemson. Talked about great hands and good blocker. I hope he stands up to the high praise. I think Bringingstool will have bust out year and maybe head to NFL after 2023.

On the OL, Swinney says Thomas Austin did a great job of evaluating and offering what they needed. To get Harris Sewell and Ian Reed from two historic Texas programs is huge. And then big Owens from down the road. Three great kids with great families.

They signed 3 DE's and 3 DT's in this cycle. All bring different things to the table but have size and strength and athleticism.

He says Peter Woods can play anywhere. He thinks Woods is as good a football player as there is in the country. Special player and special family, a blessing to have him come from Swinney's rival high school - people at Pelham don't like the Thompson people.

Vic Burley comes from a great program, one of the best they've signed. He is here and will practice for the bowl. Green is explosive and a tough kid with a hard edge to him. Coach Ski and Coach Eason (Lemanski Hall and Nick Eason) did a great job recruiting them

He says Avieon Terrell is a "baller" and an incredibly focused kid. Brings a lot with him to that position. Shelton Lewis, when he was 10, wrote down his top 8 school choices and No. 1 on his list was Clemson and now his dream is a reality

At safety, Webb and Billings and Barnes are tremendous athletes. Webb is tough and fast and can really run. Same thing with Billings. And Barnes is a kid that was born to come to Clemson. Great group of prospects.

I asked Dabo about the guys coming back who are surprises, and he said, "They were surprises to me and I guarantee you they will be the best recruits in this class and they will say something at some point."

Swinney says this roster is "stacked" and there is "no more room at the inn" so it sounds like they are done for this cycle, which includes the portal. But, he says, "Ask me tomorrow and the answer might be different"
