Pay him as well. Just put him on the sideline, and watch .

Ben? have you lost your Mind?

Hes been a fan of this team longer than Dabo's been coach. He takes this stuff personally. Respect Dabo, sure, but Ben would bring it no doubt

Rather it be or offseason workout or in game intensity, we need it, he has it.

Just more of the same nepotism that everyone on here is always complaining about

2024 white level member flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

that would be another nepotism hire

Nov 6, 2022, 9:20 AM

what has Boulware done in terms of coaching? I think we need more than just a fire them up guy

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: that would be another nepotism hire

Nov 6, 2022, 9:39 AM

he hasn't done any, but he could be a linebackers coach. BAM! Didn't say he had to be D coordinator calling plays

What coaching had Jeff Scott done? I think he's a heck of a WR coach and recruiter.

Sometimes , and as life shows you, more times than not...It's the little things that add up to the big things

Is Boulware from outside the organization and program and what coaching experience does he have? Go back to the drawing board CLEMP. Get an offensive coach that understands today's game that doesn't run a Gene Stallings offense (my dig) and a QB that can make a decision in about 1.5 seconds. Fix the offense then the defense can take risks and punish the opposition's offense.

And hire another unqualified former Clemson player to coach our elite talent?

Nov 6, 2022, 9:57 AM

No thanks.

He was? How's that? I didn't realize there were no D Lineman that kept the OL off of him so he could tackle or can't recall his blazing speed covering WRs 30 yards down the field or the TD runs and passes he made, or the blocks he made for the QB or RB or the work he did with the Scout Teams at practice. Refresh my memory CLEMP because I thought it took all 100+ players.

Championships are won in the offseason sir

Nov 6, 2022, 11:57 AM

Thats why. No, he did not throw TD passes because he's a linebacker. Yes,he didn't have blazing speed but his coverage was ok considering he was in the right spot most of the time.

However he lead those Dlinemen you are talking about. He tackled Derrick Henry on the first play in Arizona. He led that whole defense in every way. Offseason, filmroom, and on field adjustments.

Being a leader just comes natural for some, and he did that to the highest ability

Once again, its disrespectful to compare him to these walk on coaches

Doesn’t mean he can coach

Re: Championships are won in the offseason sir

Nov 6, 2022, 1:44 PM

Doesn’t mean he can’t either. That goes both ways sir

But he will for sure bring an intensity, and that is for certain. And he will effect off-season input, which are when championships are won

Re: Clemson needs real coaches on the sideline…

Nov 6, 2022, 12:00 PM

Enough with the experimenting. There are plenty of qualified coaches out there on both offense and defense. Just because they don’t have a Clemson ring or go to church with Dabo doesn’t mean they can’t come here and help lead this team and actually develop players.

Re: Clemson needs real coaches on the sideline…

Nov 6, 2022, 12:15 PM

All for bringing in qualified outside talent, and not hiring these former players who have no experience coaching. but there are levels to this . Renfrow is a pro bowl WR, who Dabo took a chance on, lest we all forget

How many of our coaches only have their jobs because they played at Clemson? We don't need another one, as much as I enjoyed watching Boulware as a player.

That line of thinking or lack thereof is exactly why we are in the position we are in now. Good greif.
