I'm done with the RPI. I will never look at it again. Usuck is still ahead of us and florida jumped us. It just mean more. What a joke

Who in their right mind would put a team that has lost 10 os 13 ahead of a team who has won 11 straight, has more wins, and a better strength of schedule?

Florida jumped us because they lost to #2 rpi Kentucky. Too bad we can't get swept by an sec team l, so we could move up

We moved to 6 after our win until Kentucky beat Florida. Then Florida jumped us because they lost to #2 rpi Kentucky. Make sense to you?

I only care because it matters to the selection committee and I think it is completely unfair and values losing to perceived good teams over beating teams

IT IS NOT A POLL. It is a simple mathematical equation. We moved up because other games haven’t gone final. We moved back down as the team we were previously behind finished their game. We are at a point where teams are separated by 100ths of a point. It took a near miracle to get where we are. There is literally no bias in the formula.

I agree, but the formula is stupid. We passed Florida by winning. And then ,they passed us because they lost.

I get your aggravation. But we stayed in a position to be where we are because we moved up despite losing to Wake Forest and against a few other opponents. It is a simple aggregate of wins and losses - yours, your opponents, and your opponents’ opponents. The only weighting is for home versus away games. In college basketball it is still a better predictor of both tourney selection and actual tourney performance than NET or polls. It is inferior to ELO.

I keep telling y'all that it's a stupid system. Winning and losing no longer matter... it's all about who you beat or who you lose to. And it's all based off of who they think is good or bad. Stupid system...
