Originally in the SIAA Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association with Sewanee, Auburn, Georgia, LSU, Tulane, Kentucky State, Texas Vanderbilt, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, Georgia Tech, Nashville, Cumberland and Presbyterian. Almost all of the football teams survived when the SIAA fell apart. I am sure that Clemson will survive this change as the one in the past and come out smelling like a rose. Don’t forget that conferences don’t last forever. The SIAA, Southwest, Big East, Big sky have all failed as conferences and if the ACC fails the colleges will just move on to another conference as in the past.
