A five-star prospect fresh off a decommitment from an SEC school made an unofficial visit to Clemson this past weekend. Charlotte (N.C.) Mallard Creek linebacker Trenton Simpson attended the Tigers’ 59-7 victory over Boston College on Saturday after decommitting from Auburn on Oct. 20.

I'm not good at reading the printed word but do my best at reading between the lines. A little bird keeps telling me we don't have room because of silent commits. Then there is the possibility he is a heavy lean to UNC. What is confusing is the fact he and his parents were here for the BC game and his remarks after the visit were positive. If there was room on our board and he has expressed an interest in Clemson re his visit one would expect we would offer. So, rather than keep going around in circles, I have a strong feeling we have silent commits and strong leans to fill all of available slots. Not many schools are going to withhold an offer to a 5***** LB unless there is something in the wind that says he is a "no take".

Do any of you have info or rumors re our remaining recruiting targets?

Judging by his social media and what he said after his visit, he definitely seems to be high on Clemson. This is a situation where giving players like mason trotter, not to throw him under the bus, a scholarship. Hopefully we get him because he is a game changer at linebacker with his speed, which Clemson lacks at linebacker with the exception of Simmons

I think the fact that we have an offer out to Flowe and he is coming for an OV in November might be a big reason.

my son plays OLB and played against Simpsons team friday &..

Simpson is a full grown man out there!!! we lost by 51 points. if we had room, there is no way we would not offer IMHO
