Thanks for putting all that together!
1900, 1948 & 1950 should have been National Championships too! That gives us 6 in reality Bama style!
Listed our state rivals best ever with a championship
1969- Coots 6-5 ACC Champions

Thats exactly what Bama, LSU, A Bunch of the TEXAS Schools and Several others have done. Claim a Bunch of Fake Natty's.... But We are Clemson, We do it the right way ??????
I'm surprised the Coots haven't tried to Claim something during the coach SOS time.
Funny that they've only had 1 Con-Championship, 1 Division Title & maybe 5-7 Total Seasons in its History that could have maybe sneaked into Clemsons top 50 Seasons..... Maybe

Me & a Michigan Fan were talking today and he was telling me about all the National Championships they've Won....... They had a split title with Nebraska in 1997. Before that they had a outright National Championship 70+ years ago in 1948 & another split the year before. They have a bunch of claimed titles from the late 1800's & early 1900's. I guess it makes them feel important.....

Hatfield's 1990 team should be considered Danny's team. We had another national championship caliber team and Hatfield skidded through the schedule. There would have been a third loss against Maryland, but their coach got stupid and gave us another 3rd down chance on a penalty. Even Jim Phillips stated that this was a poor decision. Do not think much of Charlie Pell either but he did get us Danny Ford.

His biggest accomplishment was bringing Danny aboard. Of course, his worst was back-stabbing Red Parker. That '76 team was snake-bit (screwed at Tennessee...record field goal vs Duke), but competitive as heck...and young. Those of us their knew what was coming...and it showed in the home opener against a highly regarded (#10) Maryland squad. Actually, it showed in the beat down of the Chix to end the '76 season.
