Clemson Football marijuana policy

Sep 23, 2017, 10:22 AM

Clemson, Miami and Virginia Tech are among ACC schools that have separate provisions for testing positive for marijuana. Clemson has a three-strikes policy, but offers "amnesty" for freshmen who test positive for marijuana (within a certain range of THC levels) as they "may be transitioning to stricter behaviors than those to which they may have been accustomed," according to its policy, and to provide an opportunity for early intervention. The athlete will not be charged with a positive as long as he or she completes the treatment plan.

I remember when West was here and you purchase some from the players.

Good times.

Clemson is DEFINITELY trying to find drug users

Sep 23, 2017, 10:52 AM

My son was on the Clemson track team a few years ago and they routinely check for body fat content. He works out almost constantly and never eats desserts or food that I love. He eats healthy, doesn't drink (did he come from my genes?). His body fat test results contently were under 4%. Clemson thought my son was on steroids because one clue is a very low fat content. Clemson athletic department tested him 6 times over a 4 month period. Of course he never tested positive for steroids or other drugs but Clemson was not convinced and kept on testing him.
Bottom line is Clemson wants to eliminate drugs from our athletes.
