N.C. State football could easily handle Clemson basketball. Clemson would either turn the ball over way too many times or couldn't make 3 pointers.

In fact, there was a time when I compared Clemson football to nc state basketball.
There were many parallels from the early 80s into the 2000s.
But thankfully Dabo has completely blown that one out of the water. (along with nc state’s failures in hoops)

They often seem tough. But they never have the results to show for it.
Haven’t sniffed a championship since 1979!
Even Duke and Wake have won the league since then (and competed for it more than once).

NC Football has never been invited to, let alone won a major bowl.

Clemson has been to the Elie 8 and the Sweet 16 in hoops, at least equal to an invite to a major bowl.
I think Clemson hoops looks more like WAKE FOREST football. At least they’ve played in a major bowl game.

I would say a big difference is that Dave Doeren is a ######### and is disliked by most schools fans, whereas Brad Brownell is so largely staid and emotionless coaching games that most opposing fan bases probably don't even know who he is enough to garner any ill feelings. So we win this one, for now.

I’d say we’re more Syracuse football. The occasional flash in the pan great season sandwiched between subpar ones.
