Clemson basketball: Which one of these factors is

currently most lacking and preventing our basketball program from being consistently ranked in the top 20 and challenging for the ACC championship on a semi-regular basis?

Recruiting - we need better players, plain and simple.
Player development - our talent is plenty good enough, there just is no development.
X's and O's - game prep and in game adjustments are killing us.

I think all 3 are factors but recruiting is first of course.

I thought Brownell said it was simply that they needed to score more points .

I would say all 3 but you ask for 1 so I clicked the recruiting box because that is first and foremost the problem.Brad Brownell has made an absolute living of going after transfers while he has been at Clemson and it makes me wonder some times what he is like as person and coach when he walks into a players home and sits down in front of the player and parents and then sometimes to the players high school as he tries to recruit a player for 4 years.He must be a really really bad salesmen trying to give his pitch on why that given player should come to Clemson.Yea he has had his moments here and there on the recruiting trail getting some good players but just not enough to put Clemson over the top and be a consistent winner like we all want or like I hope we all want at least,there are some that it appears being average is alright as long as the program doesn't disgrace itself.

Listen to his press conferences and other media obligations. Doesn't know how to inspire or get others passionate about something like a Dabo.

I went with recruiting in the poll, but it's really the energy around the program. There's no hope, belief, or excitement about basketball. That bleeds into recruiting, attendance, development, etc.
