Clemson alum in Charlottesville and Clemson license plates

Was in Cville over the weekend (lived there for 10 yrs in the 90s) and visited some friends. Met 2 alum and saw two Virginia issued Clemson licenses plates. Looks like we are around 900 Clemson plates issued in VA.

I have a personalized VA Clemson plate (they allow both in VA)

could never be done, because of 2 failed attempts in the 90s and required to have over 350 paid tags to submit the application along with other issues. But with hard work and determination from a dedicated team of alum it got done. How do I know this - because a was part of that great team.

The chickens started there tags effort the same time we did in the early 2000s and they just got theirs last year, Clemson has had Tiger tags since 2008. Go Tigers, always the leader in SC.
