Chad Morris

Oct 13, 2015, 10:48 AM

is one of the names that the genius state writer said usc should consider. Anybody think he would leave smu to come back to south Carolina and coach against Dabo every year.

No way in hell...

Just out of a respect factor I don't think he'd do it.

The Chad would take it, but I think USC wouldn't go that route.

Why would the chad take the usuc job?

He waited for a job opening in Texas so he could go home. Why would he come back to take over a dumpster fire?

EDIT: didn't realize it was babagadoosh who made that post before responding, now I understand it....

He's at home

proving himself in the Texas area waiting for Strong to leave so he can have a chance at his prize school. He's not coming back. If Strong was to leave and they passed on CM then he may consider it. Just don't see it happening.

I thought Morris was an Aggie ., but anyway coaches like to recruit in familiar territory .,
See Dabo had years recruiting the Carolinas ,. Georgia and Florida before he was named head coach .,
That's why these no name coaches fail when they try to move across the country to coach .,
If you are not in good with high schools you are screwed ,., Example Ten-o-see not welcome at a lot of schools because of Kiffin ,,

Not trying to flame

But honestly SMU seems like a better gig right now. Tons of money, reasonable expectations and schedule, a positive vibe around the program. Why would he leave?

Dallas is one of my favorite cities. The west end of Dallas is just so cool.

Wouldn't going from SMU to USuCk be like going from a beautiful mountain side full of wild horses to a chicken coup.

HE HAS ALREADY TOLD THEM NO

One of the reasons he went back to Texas:

his mother is ill and lives there. Plus, he has positioned himself in the right place for Texas or Texas A&M.
