I think you must have missed the part where he actually has a vote on the issue and not just an opinion.

Sounds like he is really pissed, and his intentions are to make someone suffer over their choices. But I can see why he is so pissed. He is seeing that his school is being left out in the cold without a place in a power conference once Texass and Oklahoma have moved to the SEC....

He's probably banking on the Alliance schools voting against it as well.

The WVU president is on the right track. Dabo does not want 12 teams. Neither do a lot of people
I think the 41 teams in the Alliance agree with him. Not 'getting' that seems odd to me.

I think the best thing the alliance could do is kill the 12 team playoff. Or, at least change it from the current structure. However many teams are decided upon, there has to be a rule of max 2 per conference.
The SEC commish was on the 4 man working group for the 12 team playoff knowing he was taking Texas and OU and killing the Big 12. I think their plan was to have 12 teams knowing they would get 6+ teams in each year, especially without a big 12 auto spot.
I say have 8, power 5 champs (let the big 12 keep an auto spot just to screw the SEC), highest ranked group of 5, 2 wild card with max 2 teams per conference.

You're right on the money, dcnelso!! Maybe not even the P5

champs as automatic, but take a cue from the 12 team proposal, and make it the six highest ranked conference champs being automatic! That way, two G5 champs may occasionally sneak in as auto qualifiers, if a P5 champ had say, three losses. The G5 would likely support that!
But absolutely...now more than 2 teams per conference! I don't care if the SEC has four of the top five ranked teams...no more than two of them get in!!

Twelve teams is too many. The first round will be a slaughterhouse. And who really wants to watch that?

The players don't want to play that many extra games. Many have NFL futures--too many injury risks.

Has been President at many schools. The typical academic. Doesnt know athletics. I think he has moved so much because people hire him and realize he is out of it.

Yeah…the SEC and TX and OU screwed the selves this time…all because of greed, arrogance in their timing, and the fact that they lied to everyone on that committee … they are getting ready to learn a very valuable lesson about trust Amd team work! They will eventually get all that they want…too much money involved not too…but it’s gonna take a few more years to get to that point than they thought!!! A whole is always better than a piece…not matter how big that piece is…my what a mighty web we weave when we practice to deceive!!!

Hopefully is will be many years before the greedy basturd Skanky

and his SEC cohorts get what they were greedily working for, behind the scenes...getting 5, 6 or 7 teams in a 12 team CFP most years. I think Skanky's plan was to get the CFP expansion approved, before word got out about them grabbing OK & TX.

I think everybody could see the writing on the wall that if the playoffs expanded it would be 6-8 SEC teams and then everyone else. Heck that's the reason Texas and Oklahoma suddenly decided to jump ship once the expansion seemed likely. Its much easier to be a top 5 SEC program than to have to finish undefeated every season to be considered for the playoffs, which would be the reality for any non SEC team in the new playoff format.
