Why? Because uga doesn't have a quality win. ND beaten more top 25 teams. Uga beat an 8-4 arky team that has no reason being ranked... And I'd question Kentucky.

ND has one win against a CFP ranked team... who care what they are ranked early, no one knows how good a team will play (Clemson) you have to play great for 12 weeks...

At the time, Wisconsin was ranked #18. But they went on to lose 4 games so they're no longer ranked...

I think that is how it will shake out. Don't know that it matters to UGA. I didn't see anything in that SECCG that leads me to believe the outcome with Bama in a playoff game would be much different.

Alabama might get #1 spot but that is based on 1 game. Alabama was thoroughly outplayed by a .500 Auburn team and were gift wrapped a win by a running back being selfish and not team first. Alabama is NOT better than Michigan based on the entire season

I think it takes a bit of insanity or team loyalty to bet against Saban in a big game, Just sayin'.
The only ranking that really matters is #1 and #4 is a foregone conclusion (Cincinnati).
I don't think Michigan is better than Bama or Georgia so I would give the #1 to Bama for being the SEC champion and beating Georgia. Between Michigan and Bama you have to look at the likely leaning ANY CFP committee will have to rank Alabama as #1. Plus they do not want to merely have a rematch of Georgia vs Alabama right out of the gate so they won't let Michigan be first. The only way Michigan is ranked 1st is if they were undefeated. It really does not matter whether Georgia or Michigan is ranked #2 or #3 at that point. They play each other at a neutral field.
So the first round will be
Alabama vs Cincinnati
Michigan vs Georgia
