I came in this morning to find - surprisingly - you goobers have been pretty quiet about this...other than Xtiger's post calling out that it's now a Russian job (which is just ####### lollers).
So what's everyone take here? You support working class people coming together or nah?
They against The ScienceTM? They some neckbearded mouthbreathing grandma killing science deniers?
They racist? I saw a Nazi flag on Reddit.
Jan 6 2.0? They staging an insurrection by trying to shut down Canada parliament?
They fascist? I'm sure Quozzel got some alt-right demeaning essay to write us illustrating how these truck drivers are plants from the Trump / Putin org trying to shut down democracy.
I personally love it. From what I've read and seen over the weekend, seems to me that this group of people stretches across race, religion, and gender.
You know what ties them together? They're working class.
This is more of a class revolt than anything else, and the media is spinning it to adhere to the identity politics ######## that 95% of you and us as Western Society fall for every ####### time.
Remember when the blue ants camped out on Wall Street? Occupy I think was the language they used.
Remember when both colored ants said Pfuck Pfarma companies and their Opiod issue that's killed so many people?
Me either. Now we got hippies out there speaking for the Man. We got working class citizens shutting down a working class protest b/c such a large swath of Western Civilization backs the narrative paid for by Pharmaceutical companies. It's the most baffling god #### thing I've ever seen or read about happening from a social engineering stand point, well....second to this one other time, but I digress.
I hope this whole ordeal stays peaceful and isn't high jacked by instigators. I'm honestly more surprised that it has happened, and I hope this energy ripples throughout the globe.

Stops them from being a drain on our system if they need to use a USA hospital. We are doing the same thing with those migrants on our southern border. They need vaccinations. We are doing the same thing with vacationers from all over the world, Europe etc. I need to prove vaccination when I go to Europe at the end of March. These truckers don't get special treatment just because they don't like it. They don't have to come to the USA. 90% of them are vaccinated anyway. The ones that aren't should find new jobs or trucker jobs that don't cross the border.

Those are the rules in the United states, Canada, Europe, and may other places. I am sorry they don't like it, but tough shyatt. Everyone else will be working making money. The 10% that are freaking will have to wait until things change to work that particular job. It's their choice. I am going to Europe/Spain end of Match deep into April. I can get vaccinated or I can't go. SHould I be protesting somewhere? It's my choice. I could just stay in the USA. Those minority of truckers have a choice to make.

Not sure. That said, those trucks and 700,000 people per day are going back and forth from our two borders, legally. We barely talk to them and they are on their way. That's a ton of people. I am not sure why an asylum seeker/illegal doesn't need the shot. Maybe they do after a bit? Dunno. Hopefully they do. It seems like they would be exposed to a lot and should have one.

As far as healthcare. The covid sick clog our hospitals and drive up costs and hog beds. Kind of common sense. If a Canadian driver gets sick and needs a hospital bed when he is in the USA it costs money. The non vaccinated are driving up hospital costs in the USA. We don't want to deal with foreign sick people in the USA. We have enough issues of our own.

I am law and order when it is requiring me to do something. There some things you can get a way with and some things you can't. I make a a choice. I am going to Spain. I need to be vaccinated. I can't avoid the law and order on that one, without not going. These people are going through an international border. I don't what these peeps find so complicated.

For starters, "Now we know 100% without a doubt the vax's do zero to stop the spread" is simply not true. The original vaccine effective protection against contracting the omicron variant is still at 30-40%. Not great, and a far cry from 90-95% vs. the original strain, but still notably and statistically impactful vs. "zero".
Another part where you're completely missing a point is that HIV/AIDS isn't transmissible by merely being in proximity to somebody, nor is being fat, or using illicit drugs. Having sex with somebody, or eating disgusting amounts of unhealthy food, or doing drugs, are all personal choices that have no physical impact on those around you (maybe some emotional impact on the people who know and care about you). Get a better metaphor, because none of those are similar to the concept of a highly-transmissible virus.

When 90% of the truckers are vaccinated in Canada and agreeing that there are international borders that have rules, and if you don't want to follow those mandates, then you get a new job. 9 out of 10 truckers crossing that border are working away. If you can't, you either get the shot, get a new job, a new version of your job within stroctly Canada, or go homeless. Tough shyatt. That goes over your head. That's the way the world works. Nobody is changing for the 1 out of 10 due to a trucker protest where 9 out of 10 of them are working just fine. The nations will go on, so will the industry. It's an odd time in history. It doesn't last forever and the people who have natural immunity and the vaccination combined are 5X more likely less to see symptoms. Your views are just crackpot nonsense. Ok I’ll give it a shot and try to be practical. Here’s what we should be doing.
1) If you want the shots then by all means do it.
2) Stop all mandates and mask requirements.
3) stop demonizing the unvaccinated in general and especially the ones who have previously had Covid.
4) start utilizing inexpensive, off label , safe drugs as an option in Covid care. Yes, I’m talking about Ivermectin. There’s absolutely no harm in doing so. If some are convinced it can’t help then consider it a placebo and give it. At minimum families can be at peace knowing they tried everything possible if their family member dies.
5) go back to normal life and learn to live with the fact that there’s a virus out there.
I’ll give you an example of the insanity. I wanted to go to a Davidson basketball game this year. I’ve been a fan since childhood. Their policy is that you must wear a mask and you must show vaccine proof and photo ID to be allowed in the arena. Now here’s my question. You’ve got 100% of the people in there fully vaccinated and wearing masks. How long are these people going to live in fear? This is madness!!
