“With its aggressive approach to excellence in every respect, the University of Louisville will enhance our league’s culture and commitment to the cornerstones we were founded on 60 years ago,” said ACC Commissioner John Swofford. “The University of Louisville is an outstanding addition to the Atlantic Coast Conference and I commend the Council of Presidents for continuing to position our league for the long-term future. If you look at what has been done over the last 15 months, the ACC has only gotten stronger with the additions of Louisville, Notre Dame, Pitt and Syracuse.”

STRONGER?! Really, Swofford? The ACC is such a f***ing joke. We gotta get out.

What will that do?? We have lost to both the SEC and Big East the past 4 years. Do you really believe that a move to the Big 10/12 would be a good thing for Clemson Football? Basketball? Baseball? Take off the blinders and see the big picture. Getting into a stronger conf will not make us stronger. Perception of strength maybe. But at the end of the day we are only as tuff as we want to be. Every conf has issues and every conf has bullies as well as weaklings. It just so happens that we are supposedly in the top tier of our conf and we want to bolt? Makes no sense to me. AL and LSU were the top in the SEC last year and pretty much for the past 4-5, do they want to leave the SEC because they are winning all of their conf games?

If you take a realistic look at our football history, with the exception of maybe 1949 and 1981, no way were we ever a national power in football. No matter what conference we were in. The SEC has beaten us for years. We can't dominate the ACC, although our record in conference has been pretty good. So why would we want to be bottom feeders in the big conferences? It is evident so far that no other conference wants us.
For you fire Dabo/promote Chad guys..you cried that Dabo had no experience, but 2 years ago Chad was a high school coach.
We need to keep building our programs the right way like we are doing. When we get to be a powerhouse, then opportunites will come our way. TV drives the market. What does gaining South Carolina give any other conference?
