If I remember correctly you only have to sit out a half of the game depending on if you get the call I’m the 1st or 2nd half. I was worried about Skalski missing half of the UGA game but I just rewatched the bumnuts game from last season and noticed he got called for targeting in the 2nd quarter which means he already sat out a half of the Sugar bowl and should be fully good to go on sept 4th right?

This is how I understand it:
Players who are called for targeting face ejection and, if the foul happens in the second half of a game, disqualification for the first half of the next game.
If a player is penalized for targeting three times in the same season, he will be both ejected from the current game and suspended for the entire next game. The punishment will be repeated for every subsequent targeting penalty in a season.
