was being played at the same time as the Open Championship last week. You had guys wearing golf shirts that had literally as many as half a dozen or more sponsors names on them. Names on both sleeves, both side of the collar, both sides of the chest, and at least one on the back. A couple even had some garish patches on them. Not to mention, the golf caps were festooned with names just about everywhere possible.

Not sure what you mean. PGA players have been wearing logos on their uniforms for years.

There used to a an informal rule in the PGA locker 4oom. If you had more than 7 logos on your clothes (hat, shirt and pants) you were "over-logoed" and fined.

John Daly was the biggest offender.

They have, but it’s not like tin cup.

I would be willing to bet most of the large sponsors require that players only wear their logo on a shirt or a hat etc. I’m sure they pay more for a certain degree of exclusivity.

I'm sure they can't.

But, they can wear patches and logos anytime they aren't in uniform. Expect to see DJ in a variety of orange, purple and white shirts with the Bojangles logo on them.
