Can a healthy Tyler Davis be first round worthy?

I know there is a lot of quality players that are round one worthy and team needs is a factor and obviously only 32 players can claim that title. But can he sneak in? Where does he fit for NFL teams

I see his ceiling being in the middle rounds.
He is a really good player, but he does most of his work because he is very technically sound and stays with his fundamentals.
He is not the "freak athlete" that most associate with 1st round DL.
I could see where someone could make a comparison with Grady Jarrett because of his physical attributes, but I think the separator in this case is that Davis doesn't seem to have to relentless motor that Jarrett has and had while at Clemson.
Combine those things with his injury history (even with a healthy final season) and I don't see him going better than 3rd or 4th round.

He needs a healthy season. He doesn't big fire?
He needs to show a year of aggressive play. This dude with his smile is on of the players all could hang with! But he needs his aggression to come forward? Love the dude, he needs a push mill to stop him.

TD will be pur highest rated draft in 2023 if he wants to be on. Other shooting friends will learn their problems on the next few wks.
Still waiting on my dinner promise

Unless he is much better this year, maybe 3rd round. He just needs to stay healthy to show what he can do.

Depends on the depth of the class at DT and how many teams need a DT enough to make it their first round pick.

Tyler Davis would need a freak season with ~ 8 - 10 sacks and a whole bunch of QBHs and TFLs to be a first round NFL draft pick ... oh yeah, and stay healthy all year and play a bunch of snaps.
It is rare that multiple DT's are drafted in NFL first round.
If TD has a healthy and solid-play (for him) season, then 3rd round or maybe maybe a reach for late 2nd round could happen. TD is very quick, and the NFL appreciates that in DTs. I hope for TD's sake that the NFL scout's remembrances of under-rating previous under-sized Clemson DTs (i.e., NFL superstars Grady Jarrett and Michael Dean Perry) work in TD's favor.
DE / Edge rusher ... that's another story. It's remotely possible that 2 of our senior DEs for the 2022 season could make 1st round.

There have been multiple DTs taken in the first round in 4 of the past 5 drafts, including 6 DTs in 2019.

Vermontfan1221 My take is TD13 can be a quality pro and a starter. He was grown man and contributor early in his career at Clemson. And he was hurt much of last year which prevented him from working out hard. As a result he was not a full strength and winded last year, like a lot of Clemson's team. I see TD13 going from the 2nd to the 4th round dependent on how healthy he is. Bright future!

TBH I have always been kind of conflicted on Davis. He flashes greatness at times, others, not so much. Kind of feels really good, not great. Gives me that DJ Reader vibe. That in itself I find ironic due to the struggles DJ had at Clemson and yet the pro career he has had, going from 5th rounder by the Texans to a quality career in NFL. Davis kinda feels like a 2nd-3rd rounder but it depends on who is drafting and their needs.
