Calling all ND and Chicago Experts

Going to ND game( hopefully). Would like to stay in Chicago. Are there shuttles/busses/trains that cater to ND football? Want to stay in Chicago and shuttle to game and back.

I lived up that way for about 27 years before I retired and came back home to SC. The drive from Chicago to South Bend is not bad especially on a Saturday. There are buses and trains between the two but some are just once a day. Here's a link. I liked to stay at the Hilton on Michigan Ave or the Palmer House just off Michigan Ave.

I have family up that way there is a train that runs from Chicago to South Bend

You can take Amtrak or Barons Bus service to South Bend. Amtrak leaves from Union Station but I don’t know where the bus leaves from. I think it also leaves from Union Station but not real sure of that.

Lived in south bend for 46 years before coming down here. Still travel up there at least 3 times year. The train Amtrak travels to and from Chicago but I did not believe it runs that late in the night. Game starts at 7pm. Might have to spend the night locally before heading back to chi town the next day

There is an added train for late games. Leaves 1.5 hrs after game ends or something along the hose lines. Renting a car is easiet, and way less logistics. You have to take a bud from the campus to the train station.
