Hate to say I think we’re out of any CFP contention or consideration, but a bowl game against CCU would be interesting.

Don't strain your brain. The entire ranking thing is and always has been a mess. Much of it makes no sense. I've always thought any rankings should BEGIN only after 5-6 weeks instead of preseason. TAMU was ranked very high in August. Where are they now? We were #3. Obviously not correct. Notre Dame also ranked too high to start. Iowa State, North Carolina, Florida, USC (THE REAL ONE), Wisconsin, Miami(Fl), Indiana, Washington were all ranked. Now much lower or out of the top 25. Too many of the preseason rankings are just flat out wrong, ranking some teams too high or too low. Dumb ash way of doing things, IMHO.

shouldnt rank anyone till about a month in. this pump the SEC early stuff is BS. For example GFla has 2 losses yet they hardly ever drop. It is just absurd. If it isnt a lifetime achievement award for us (and it shouldnt be) then it shouldnt be for them either

They are just dying to put some trash mid-major in the playoffs. They may get their wish this year because no one is very good and the rest of cinci's schedule is joke now that they got past a mediocre nd team.

Cincy will be denied the playoff based on strength of schedule. Playing and beating two P-5 opponents will not be enough. All G-5 opponents on schedule from now on out will be their undoing.

If the tigers would quite sleep walking and thinking that just because they have the Clemson uniform on and show up that they are going to win, then Coastal could be beat.

a Peach Bowl matchup might be a pretty logical matchup. They know Clemson travels pretty good & we're right there near Atlanta, so very logical for us to go there. Add in Coastal, another team from neighboring state would help attendance. Then for TV, it's upstart looking to knock off 1 of the big brothers on a big stage.
