Cade needs the chance to start.

1st team reps and a start, that's the only real way to even get a good idea of where he is. Every time he comes in its in a crappy situation ice cold trailing by 2 scores. It's like asking a reliever to come in with the bases loaded, nobody out and get out of the inning. Just give him 1st team all week and see what the real dif is in the offense...if any.

This season will die with DJ at the helm; recruiting will suffer.

I agree! That whole QB switch at the end of the 3rd was weird.....and to top it off you put DJ back in.

If Cade doesn’t get a chance I really don’t get how a talented QB recruit can look at the situation and not think no matter what happens I have zero chance to start. DJ played good the first half of the season, but as soon as the Syracuse game happened something broke.

That goal line fumble broke him, it's like his mind reset back to last year as soon as that happened.

Yep, as physically strong and impressive DJ is the mental side is his Achilles heel I hate it for him but I don’t understand how we continue to try the same thing

If DJ is that mentally fragile, he has no business playing football.

Guarantee you Vizzina and his family are watching this to see how it plays out. Would you want to put your kid in the position Cade has been put in??

Nope not at all, me and the wife talked about that Saturday night. As a father I would’ve been pretty upset with the position Cade was put in. But from everything I’ve read and watched on Cade he’s a very stong and determined kid he will bounce back if given the chance.

What they see is Dabo's loyalty to a QB, which is not necessarily a bad thing. But at some point, you have to move on.

Dabo is sticking with DJ. Win, lose or draw.

While I believe that Cade will ultimately be a better QB, and will see open receivers that DJ never does, we need to understand that high wind gusts may have been a factor in the passing game at ND. That said, I'm hoping the coaches saw on film numerous open receivers (not far down the field) who DJ either dud not see or chose not to throw to. Maybe they can use that as a reason to bench DJ. But for Cade to start, that would pretty much end DJs QB career.

Let's ignore the DJ side of this situation for a minute.
What part of Cade's last 2 appearances makes you want him to be Clemson's starting QB?
His "successful" relief appearance vs Syracuse consisted of 2 completions and the RBs carrying the comeback.
Cade also wasn't overly successful in the run game vs Syracuse even though the RBs were crushing the Syracuse defense.
I wish I knew what happened to the GA Tech version of Cade that looked like a rising star, but since that point he has looked jumpy and like the game is moving super fast for him on passing plays.
If neither QB is going to play well, then I would rather have DJ taking the lumps so Cade will show up next season with his confidence still intact.

I literally just said he needs a full week of 1st team reps and start a game. Not thrown into crappy situations at the 7 yards line and have a play called to the opposite side. He hasn't been given a fair assessment, against GT he did well and shows the quickness and quick release. Nothing will change with what we're currently doing, so I don't see why not mix it up. Even our wins haven't felt great from the 1 half a game offense we have now.

for where he's at.
The coaches have seen him every single day for what 3 months now?
