Buying Tickets on Tigernet

Sep 17, 2018, 10:04 AM

Just a general question for the Board. I sell some of my tickets for different games and I was wondering when you buy tickets off Tigernet are there certain people you tend to buy from that you trust or do you tend to buy from whomever?

But seriously, I only buy tickets from people I know or IPTAY.

There's something in these hills.

I’ve never paid any attention to who I’m buying from, but I do always look at how long they have been a member. I pay closest attention to how much they are asking for the tickets.

I have sold some before and have had people contact me the next year to see if I have any tickets available to sell again.

It probably depends on the person. I tend to hope the people who have been on Tigernet a while are at least mostly trustworthy.

Have bought and sold individual, season and bowl tickets on tigernet and (knock-on-wood) have never had an issue. If something smells fishy...it probably is. I would be leary of someone who just joined, but that's me.

Speaking of tickets off Tigernet, is Ticketmonster acting squirrelly for anyone else today? And are lower level Syracuse tickets really going for $400 these days!?

I’ve always been given this advice since graduating but when you’re traveling from NY for the game, the idea of scalping the day of just always seems high-risk to me.

3 times the value just so you fit in. So if you have a face value of $40 then if you're not asking $120+ then you'll stick out like a sore and might actually sell them.
