Our players don't deserve the hate and negativity they're going to get all week. We had no plays set up for the inside to give us high percentage shots or fouls. Now they get to carry the weight of a poorly coached game.
If you can't see how bad the strategy was to get the ball inside I don't know what to tell you. How many of those 17 missed shots were in the paint?

He is so bad - calling him coach doorknob is a huge slight to doorknobs everywhere.
At least doorknobs serve a vital, functional, interactive function.

Most of our shots tonight were two pointers. Many of those were in the paint.
PJ was outplayed. He couldn’t get anything going inside. He didn’t get good post position. He forced shots. He traveled some. Just an all around poor game from him. He was clearly flustered.
Schieffelin was awful. He got benched for poor play.
Middlebrooks didn’t give us much either.
Tyson and Godfrey were the lone bright spots down low. They battled and did some good things.
Credit BC for outplaying us tonight. They got us out of our comfort zone, we panicked, and we never really recovered.
We will learn from this and get better. You’ll see a better Clemson team on Saturday against Miami.

Hopefully so! And as many mid range shots we had (2 pointers) I did not see the inside paint movement we should have taken advantage of. Mid range, driving and post game are different things

We tried to be aggressive in the paint.

We weren’t successful, so we went back to taking outside shots (most of which were open looks).
Unfortunately, we didn’t shoot well. Bad night shooting plus lots of turnovers plus road game = loss. It doesn’t matter who you are. In a 30+ game season, it’s going to happen.

We didn’t take advantage of Post only playing 26 min because of foul trouble. They didn’t fee Hall when Post was on the bench and take advantage of the big guy being out. That’s coaching.

Good players can never overcome bad coaching .. while I’ve always thought this with football, it applies as well to BB. Don’t really follow BB that closely but was happy we seemed to be turning things around. Since on the ACCN and not lost somewhere on Bally, was able to tune in last eve and watch. We started out great, unsure how went we “stone cold” for the last 3/4’s of the game? Hopefully we finish like we started.
