The sky is falling on Clemson football -since 2010 we've only

won 134 games, only won the last 5 ACC championships, been to 4 National Championships, won 2. Yeah, I would say, compared to the past. we're definitely cycling out.

Remain calm, we're fine.

Forget The sky is falling scenario. Have you driven on any of the bumpy roads in Anderson recently ? I'd say a lot of them have even seen better times since before 2010.

downward trend of our program since 2018. We're getting weaker every season. There's no denying that.

Don't strongly disagree, but I think we're fine.

You don’t appreciate how good the football has been since Taj Boyd was quarterback. I watched games under Coach Frank Howard and Needle Addison (quarterback)as a student. I watched average teams that had 6 win seasons and ran the ball on almost every play. The cheerleaders were also bad.If Clemson wins 10 games this season, enjoy it. We will get a good bowl game based on reputation if not real results. Go Tigers, beat the Deacons.

Your assessment is 50% correct.

Our defense took a huge step down from 2018 to 2019.

Since then we have seen it get progressively better again.

Our offense was not worse in 2019 than it was in 2018 but we were not at full strength on offense heading into the LSU game.

Our offense took a small step back in '20 because of the absence of Ross (unexpected) and a couple of misses on the OL.

The step back on offense this season, similar to the defense in '19, follows the curve we have been on. This offense should have been like 2017. Instead all of the youth and the broken confidence of a young QB made it worse than that. I think the biggest difference is that this is the first time since 2011 that Clemson had to break in a new QB with youth around him instead of experience.

Great Post! I listened to an interview by Mack Brown. He said the Transfer Portal and NIL is ruining college football. He said that it has already hurt some teams like Clemson as we as North Carolina among other teams. He feels like it will benefit teams like Bama, OSU. He has seen a drop off in player’s efforts to earn playing time. They do not give the same effort. If competition gets to hard for a player wanting more playing time they just enter the transfer portal.

Before the TP Clemson could go to the next player without losing to much drop off in talent. Well the next man up has has now put Clemson and some other schools in a bind because there is a bigger gap in talent when the starter goes down. 4 & 5 star talented players want to play now. That don’t want to wait until they have developed their talent. When they step up now because we have lost talented players to the TP there is a bigger drop off in talent. He is still not sure how NIL will affect college Athletics, but he believes it will have a negative affect on a lot player’s.

I totally agree with Mack Brown.
