Dabo wouldn’t leave Clemson for Ohio State.
And Ohio State is a top 3 job. They’re not going to hire someone without D1 head coaching experience. They’re probably not going to hire someone without successful P5 coaching experience. My bet would be on Matt Campbell.

The top guys are like Matt Campbell, Jeff Brohm, and maybe Neal Brown? None of those guys are quite the caliber you would expect Ohio State to hire. Maybe that's because the season hasn't even stared yet and nobody has gotten a chance to build on their resume, but there isn't a Tom Herman or Scott Frost out there right now.
This is another reason why i think OSU might go with an interim this year and look to make a permanent hire this winter.

They’ll absolutely go with an interim this year if Urban is fired. You can’t find a replacement within a month.

And i don't think OSU is going to hire Venables. Amazing DC but too unproven as a HC for a job of that magnitude IMO.

Won't happen. On the other hand, Meyer might end up at CootU where he'll get ten wins one season just to give them false hope, then he'll watch his career crumble to the chicken curse until he finally resigns in disgrace after another loss to Kentucky.

Venables would be a great hire for OSU but suspect they would not take a chance on a coordinator.
