Ugh. We lived in Erie Pa about 90 miles from Buffalo for 11 years. Great place for chicken wings but I don’t miss all that daggum snow.

are the chicken wings really that good?

what makes a wing cooked in buffalo any better?

Serious question...what makes their method noteworthy

They can be. It’s kind of like BBQ here. Everybody up there puts their own twist to the sauces. And most restaurants offer 20 - 40 flavors so it’s not just Texas Pete’s hot, hotter, and hottest. We had a local place that had a dry rub Cajun ranch flavor that became my favorite. They also did a Buffalo blue cheese flavor that was really good. BTW, the best wings I have found in this area is at a small place in Easley called Steddy’s.

Looked it up online, that place looks like a redneck, cootish hellhole. Many pics of small wings covered in feathers. yikes

It’s a small local dive bar. The kind of place that you probably wouldn’t even know about unless someone tells you about it. Lots of times these places have the best food. Nice local vibe. Wings are definitely above average size. I do sometimes pick up the wings to go and go to Pint Station where they have better craft beers and welcome customers bringing in outside food.

It seems to me, the smaller wings are better than the larger ones!

I guess it all depends on the flavors and personal preference. We used to go to the Wild Wing Cafe in Asheville and they were so small there was hardly any meat on them and they were higher priced than most places.
