Had more talent year after year than we see nowadays. First, must mean venables is a good coach. Second, means we can find more talent on defense since we have seen it before.

Love BV and the guys we’ve put on the field lately. However, the 82 team with Perry, Benish, Bryant, Rembert, Headen, Davis, MCSwain, and Kinard was the most talented D at Clemson ever. All those guys played in the NFL, most for many years and successfully. 89 D was close.

They were great to be sure. I will point out that 9 of 11 starters on the 2018 defense made the league. Only the two inside LBs did not.
