Bryan Bresee prediction

Nov 29, 2021, 8:42 AM

With the emergence of Ruke, Reuben, Williams and Page, and the return of Davis, I can see Bresee moving to DE next year. Our DL will be filthy next year barring injuries.

NFL is for sure as a defensive tackle. Christian Wilkins made that move for one year, but it was with the knowledge that he was moving back inside the next year.

Disagree. Bresee is actually more of a 3-4 NFL defensive end. Wilkins had far more girth than Bresee.

"Girth"... that's really hitting below the belt.

Although he could do it, I don’t think he will. We rotate DTs

regularly and we’d need 5 good ones and more than that if anyone gets injured.

twentytwofifteen, you and I must be in some telepathic taxi cab.

Was thinking the same thing about Bresee (all predicated on the assumption that his knee is 100% next year, and that he had not lost any speed or lateral mobility). He'd be a power rusher supreme from D-End, and since Clemson played a bunch of 3-4 alignments this year, B.B. would be PERFECT in that role.

And as you pointed out, we should be LOADED at D-Tackle next year with Ruke, Reuben, Page, T.Davis, T.Williams all coming back.

D-End is a bit thin as far as experienced depth next year (and it is not reasonable to expect M.Murphy to play 90% of the snaps and stay completely healthy doing this for the entire 2022 season), so B.B. at D-End ... even in the 4-3 alignment ... really sounds smart.

Oh yeah, and this won't hurt B.B.s NFL prospects. Rather, it will show that he has the quickness to play D-End and get lots of notoriety for what is reasonable likely to be a CFP Clemson team again in 2022.

KJ Henry is eligible to return isn’t he?

Nov 29, 2021, 12:00 PM

If he is, that would be great!

He is eligible. Dabo said he hasn’t made a decision yet but his social media posts look like he is leaning towards leaving. Really would love to have him back.

Ruke is another guy that looks like he might have the speed and agility to move outside.
