When? I missed that season. I was in the stands when we blew a three touchdown lead to Boston College to keep us out of the ACC championship game, however....
If you're referring to the 2000 season, we lost to Georgia Trch at home and got obliterated by Florida State. We were never in the conversation

I would say playing in the ACC championship game and losing by a field goal is as close as you can get. Tommy Bowden never once got us to the ACC championship game. Second place in division is not almost winning the conference

divisions, and CBB never got us to the ACC Championship game either, but none of this is even the point. The point is CTB > CBB, not equal to, and this is evident looking at the highest finish each has had in the ACC. Unless you are arguing that CTB < CBB, I’m not sure what you are attempting to convey here.

for the sake of the program. He also hired a legacy coach that he recommended be given the reigns upon his dismissal. Two vastly different people. CTB knew the bus had stalled out, whereas CBB is too blind to see that his potential has hit its peak.

Your perspective regarding Bowden's time at Clemson has no doubt tainted by misinformation. But have no fear, you are not alone. They did both get the needed facilities upgrade, but Tommy had a perennial top 25 team. Brad not so much.

Tommy Bowden was the biggest jerk ever to step onto the Clemson campus. I disliked him the first day I met him. He had a lot of you fooled.

You are right on. He has a ceiling which is low and when he hits it he bounces back down to an even lower level. He has conned you athletic officials long enough. Wake up and smell the coffee. Give me someone with some charisma.
