Bridge to Clemson Program

Feb 16, 2017, 12:18 PM

In the mail, 2/5, my child did not get accepted to Clemson, but got recommended for The Bridge program.

Per web discussion from last year the Bridge did not fill until March 1.

Thanks in large part to Clemson and Football success, the Bridge program will be filled by this afternoon.

Congrats to those who got into Clemson and The Bridge!!!

My sister did the Bridge program and it was the best decision she could have made. She made life-long friends and got the full experience.

My daughter did the bridge program last year and is now at Clemson. She doesn't regret the decision to bridge at all and is still rooming with several girls she met in the program. As a parent, I think they have you over a barrel a little on the housing, but overall I am happy with the program.

Son did it. He was pissed at first. Graduated CU 2011. Later said he would have been an idiot to go somewhere else

Hey man I didn't even get accepted to the bridge program. However, I went to a joke of a community college in Charleston SC. I spent 2 1/2 years of my life at that place and hated every minute of it. All my buddies either got into Clemson off the rip or did the bridge. I didn't have that luxury. Anyways I got accepted in December of 2010 into Clemson. When I got that package in the mail that said Tiger Town bound tears fell from my face. The messed up part was only half of my credits transferred. Like I said joke of a community college... I was a mid year sophomore in credits when I got to Clemson. Ended up banging out the hours and graduated in December 2012. With hard work your kid will do fine in the bridge program

I did the bridge I think year two when it came out. At first I was hesitant because I didn't know if I would get the full experience of not being at Clemson my first year. But honestly it was the best decision I ever made regarding college. I made quite a few friends my first year that I still have today also. Don't let anyone tell you its not worth it because it certainly is as long as you put in the work.

My son got the bridge program as well. Heck I think it'll save some money too.

I told him not to apply to Engineering because of the limited space. It'll all be fine in the end.

Well our son still has not heard - waiting everyday on the mail. His brother bridged and is junior now. Can't see how they can fill it when not.. everyone has heard.

Act immediately on this. This exact thing happened to me, I found out after the program was full, luckily I made it through via the waitlist. Google "clemson bridge interest" then go to the cite and type in your clemson id that they gave you. You will be able to find out even if you haven't gotten a letter yet.

kid (takes after his mom) SAT 1450 and GPA 4.0 - surprised he have not heard. Got into USC, but says he would rather bridge at Clemson. Fingers still crossed.

It's it a 4.3 now for acceptance to Clemson? I believe that's what my granddaughter is being told by her guidance counselor

His id said " your application status does not have eligibility for bridge". Not sure what that means. Is there a similar site for regular admissions? Thanks.

Then that is out of league, he might have gotten into regular clemson, if you don't receive a letter, you can call 10 days after the letters were supposed to come out and find out over the phone

To me the bridge program or transferring from a community college is the best way to go. Clemson is expensive. You can save a lot by knocking out gen eds at the smaller school for two years then jump into your major specific classes once you get to Clemson.
