Bresee did not play Saturday ??

Nov 28, 2022, 2:40 PM

Did not see him in game Saturday and there are no stats for him listed in box score -- I saw him on the sideline, with his helmet on -- I just truly feel, loosing his sister took a real toll on the kid and hope he can recover** Prayers sent to him and his family if that was the reason for not playing --

David Hood, any info ?? TIA

Yep. He's missed so much strength and conditioning. Remember when Danny would have the weight room loaded up and taken to bowl games? It doesn't take long to lose all your gains

in Miami for the '81 NCG... "They've got more mobile equipment than we have equipment."

Don't know if it was true, but that says a lot about your statement.

Someone posted 2000 posts ago on Saturday night that they saw him in the game. Either way, don't think it was long.

He or someone in his family posted social media last week with a Philly jersey and #8. Not sure what the meaning is/was. But I would bet if he got drafted close to home, he'd go.

As I've posted before, I pray that he stays because Dabo is none better than getting him through this. An off spring and summer with family and friends and then I think he'd be ready to play next fall... without pressure. Just healing. Hopefully XT will also.

This isn't baseball. If he gets drafted his college days are over. First he has to declare for the draft sometime in January because he has eligibility left. If he doesn't declare then he won't be drafted.

Obviously, losing his sister had to take a toll on him psychologically, but his physical aliments one right after another the past month put a damper on his ability to perform his best. I would love to see him come back, but would not blame him if he still gets a first round grade for the draft. The pros know how good he can be, so I am not sure what he has to prove next year. But of course, I am selfish and want to see him back.

Hard to criticize anyone that has had the heartbreak that Bryan has had this year, but he has been invisible for the entire year, should have taken a RS or stepped away. Hope he stays another year and gets his edge back.

He's technically only a sophomore anyway. seeing as 2020 didn't count against anyone. I think he could have redshirted last year because I believe he played less than 4 games before his injury. If that's the case he would still have 3 years of eligibility left but even if he couldn't or didn't redshirt last year he still has 2 years of eligibility left.

eligibility left after this season if he wanted them. Don't see that happening though. I think he would be wise to come back for 1 more year though. Seems like it might be good for him to just take the spring semester off - get in shape but do that back home with family, etc and work on his mental health before moving forward

For maybe the first time this season (when he was available to play), B.Bresee didn't start.

His snap count was limited.

Probably cannot expect much from him in the ACC Championship game.

Maybe with the bowl game being ~ 1+ month away, he'll have the chance to get back into shape and have a productive bowl game.

We're all pulling for this guy; he could sure use some good luck.

When they showed the starters on the video board pregame they showed him. I didn’t notice when he got in, though.

He didn’t play in the Miami game because he had strept throat and pneumonia. Hard to get back in playing shape from those in a week. Between the loss of his sister, the kidney infection and now this, his conditioning had to suffer. During the Louisville game he broke through the line one time but looked like he just ran out of gas before he could get to the QB. Really feel for him and his family. Can’t imagine what they have been through.

Didn't realize he had pneumonia. I had that back in high school. Felt fine in two days once I started on the antibiotics, but man, took forever to get my lungs back in shape enough to run track.

Nov 28, 2022, 3:29 PM

gonna be the year to dominate again like when we had those dudes back in 2016-2019. (3) 5 stars and (1)four star on that line as starters at all times.. with XT the wild card 5 star. So (4) 5 star lineman...it seemed too good to be true. And man.. they couldn't get pressure on SCAR or really anyone this year.... Not to mention on offense we had the #1 QB out of highschool in his 3rd season along with 4/5 star Ngata and at the time 4/5 star Frank Ladson...then we add 4/5 star RB to the list along with one of the best kickers we've had and really good tight ends....

ITs been a crazy shift in terms of not meeting expectations.

I thought that about 2020. 3rd year for TL, ETN, Tee and probably more I can’t remember 3rd year for XT and KJ. Didn’t think anyone would be able to beat us and we lost to ND in OT and badly to Ocry0 St.

I know he has had a tough year losing his sister and being hurt and sick the season….. but does not look like the same guy he was his freshman season…… does not look to be in best of shape and that firey get up and go spirit does not appear to be the same in him….but that can be said about several of the top guys out there who have been pretty much MIA all season long!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I can't imagine what he's going through. Hindsight is 20/20

Nov 28, 2022, 4:02 PM

and it seems now like the best thing for him might have been to just spend the fall semester at home and come back in the spring ready to focus on football. I don't know if that's even an option but to me it seems like it would have been better for him.

I think at the time (this summer) his sister's outlook was pretty bleak and the team rallied around him and everyone thought if he just kept grinding with the team supporting him it would be OK. But it seems like he just hasn't been himself and I don't blame him at all.

Just saw where he played 15 snaps -- not enough to warm-up, but Ruke has been playing really well,in Bryans absent - so go with the flow**
