I was getting concerned. In my view the country is more apathetic/antagonistic towards this than the last few games of chicken in past years.

Yep. I like baseball (big Dodger fan) but baseball popularity has gone down tremendously. Alot of fans never came back after the 93 strike. Baseball can't afford bad press

Definitely lost me. Had watched lots of Braves games on tv but haven't seen more than 5 or 6 innings of any MLB since.

Here’s to hoping ATL resigns Freddie ASAP. With the DH now a full time thing I would love to see them bring Soler back too.

The Braves need to keep that World Series-winning chemistry. Keeping Freddie is an important part of it--not to mention he is a great first baseman. (Remember hearing several of them say, "Sign Freddie Freeman" at the celebration.) Keeping Soler would be a big plus.

if he's really wanting a $200 million contract, I'd be perfectly fine if the organization decides to let him walk.

The team could sign a lot of quality players for $200 million.
